I think we should do it using svnsync - then only read access is required
to JAC and svn handles it properly.

Ubuntu would be fine. JAC runs CentOS so we will already know fairly
rapidly if it breaks. Open Solaris sounds good (PS we did some tests on
ZFS and it blows the socks off ext3/RAID5)
