Dear Dong,
If you run 'spm eeg' you can find under 'Convert' button an option to
convert EGI-txt file. I'm not familiar with the EGI system, but my guess is
that EGI-txt is something you create by exporting your data in ASCII format.
Also the reading function called spm_eeg_rdata_egi64 seems to only support a
system with 64 channels, but I'm sure you can modify it to suit your needs.
In the last public SPM release, there was new EEG/MEG preprocessing
functionality added that you can find if you choose the option 'Generic
conversion' after pressing the same 'Convert' button. This functionality is
based on the file IO toolbox shared between SPM and Fieldtrip that supports
quite a lot of formats. Unfortunately EGI is not one of them, at least so it
seems after a quick check I did. We are interested in adding support for
additional formats so if you can send me (not to the list) a small example
data file with all the accompanying files and (if available) description of
the format or a Matlab function that reads, it would be very helpful for
adding support for this format in the future.
