Jay
I know not your personal background so please do not take one mans
experience as anything other than a pause for thought.
Being the lone parent of three school age daughters, the grilling by the
CSA for failing to pay maintenance to my ex-wife was one of the most
bizarre experiences of my life. Suffice it to say she left with all the
liquid assets and furniture and we four, managed with the neighbours
support and understanding bank manager's to keep a roof over our heads
and keep ourselves fed. I had to keep working to pay the mortgage as she
stopped paying her share, and when at last the CSA grasped that the
children were with me they declined to go after her as she had acted
reasonably! Funny that, she had a good professional job with a salary
similar to mine at the time. Her soon to be new husband's ex wife and
children were left homeless and without a penny as he was bankrupt and
she bought their house. So the CSA failed both men and women as many
people took the prejudicial view you expressed, and so it was not
permitted to do its job Support children
Sorry Jay is horrible for the caring party, if that is the man it may
hurt them more than the woman, because many in society who should know
better attack the man because they assume he is to blame. Facts before
rushing to judgement please. Women may not all be saints either. Are
you? I am not but some men are.
