Hi all
I did my nebosh in Reid Kerr in Paisley - i loved the course although
at the time my experience in safety was very limited and in hindsight
would help me better had i done it later. It gave me a better
understanding on how to approach risk assessment/hierachy of controls
etc..
The class was full of builders, safety reps, facility managers
etc..so it was a great mix of folks and at times i ask advice from
them on certain issues still to this day. I sat an exam - in the am
and pm - which filled me with dread as the last exam i sat was my
nursing finals for RGN - however a glass of wine in the pub at
lunchtime helped with the nerves ( and with everyone else) and the
afternoon exam seemed much better.
I work with a distillery company once a week and with other
industries in my career so far so i find my nebosh has helped me in
how i approach assessments which often originate with errors in
safety (allegedly) and its great to spout out legislation that you
dont forget as the nebosh does as Anne says - it is learned in order
not to be forgotten.
Good luck
Steph
