[EMS-NEWS]
Dear all,
For the UnSound Experiments on Wednesday evening at the Shunt we're
performing a piece of mine called Second Symphony, and I'm looking
for performers!
You'll need a fairly short, percussive sound, possibly quite loud,
which you can repeat accurately once a second. It should be an
acoustic sound, or at least a sound coming from one point in space -
it can also be electronically generated, but it must be manually
triggered ( i.e. a sampler with small speaker).
You will also need to load a clicktrack onto your ipod or similar,
and have headphones to listen to the clicktrack. We will have a
rehearsal on the day - it's very easy to learn, and should be quite
fun to perform. Anyone who wants to can play, so invite friends, but
make sure they bring an ipod and a sound. Please let Ian know if you
are playing so I can get an idea of numbers.
The click track is available from Ian either in the studio or by
email at [log in to unmask]
Thanks, and looking forward to it.
John Lely
