Hello all,
I have a student who is non verbal and uses facilitated communication.
The student cannot take written exams in the 'traditional' way (essays)
and so we need to consider alternative assessments.
A viva is not appropriate and I am concerned that there may be some
issues where it comes to swapping exams for something that can be done
at home, uninvigilated, and under no time constraints. I have known
other students to have an exam paper converted to multiple choice, but
this student's area of study may not be appropriate to this method.
Has anyone advised a student in this situation before, and could offer
examples of practice?
Many thanks
Erin
