Dear Bb User Group,

Our Web Team have been adding Google Analytics
https://www.google.com/analytics into their Web Pages so that they can
find
out various statistics about their users, e.g. Hits, Time Spent,
Location
etc. We would like to do the same for our Blackboard, but we are having
some
difficulties. We have just managed to get a connection to send data
back,
but we are currently waiting to see what we get, as it takes 24 hours
before
it shows you the first stats.

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone had already tried using Google
Analytics
with Blackboard and could offer some advice/insight?   

Google Analytics requires a Script to be added to the Blackboard Entry
page,
plus the pages you want to get statistics from. There is no problem with
Security, as it gets the stats from the individual Users, not the
Blackboard
server. We were greatly impressed by its use on our BCUC Website and it
looks like a really useful Free tool. If we can get it working with our
Blackboard and producing some useful stats I will let you all know. 

The Google Analytics script looks like this:
