JOB DESCRIPTION:
Highly numerate graduate required to work as a Junior Quantitative Analyst for our dynamic football betting consultancy. We expect a self-motivated individual with a thorough understanding of statistical modelling. Your CV should speak for itself.

As part of the Quantitative Team the role will involve researching and applying innovative new methods to develop and implement predictive statistical models for betting on football matches based upon historical football data.
The successful candidate will also be involved in the maintenance and continual review of existing models, making improvements wherever possible, in order to provide a basis for our traders to make profitable betting decisions on behalf of our clients.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
First or upper second class degree in a subject with a high mathematical and / or statistical content
Understanding of mathematical or statistical models (preferably with experience of developing and applying such models)
Knowledge and experience of computer programming (preferably in C++, C, ASP, .NET or R)
Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with a versatile approach to problem solving
DESIRABLE SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
An interest in and knowledge of football
A good record of strong team working skills
The ability to plan, analyse and evaluate work as required
