* In a Different Light - free night time event at the museums this
Saturday! *
Come to see the museums in a different light this Saturday,
where you'll see everything from the unexpected to the strange
and things to surprise and delight!
Visitors will see Tibetan monks performing spectacular masked
dances, explore the Pitt Rivers by torchlight, visit the licensed bar on the
gallery of the Museum of Natural History, see the 1933 film Son of Kong
(the lessor known sequal to King Kong- this time with dinosaurs!) join
in mask making inspired by the Butterfly Ball (a story book with
psychedelic illustrations by the Beatles illustrator Alan Aldridge)
visit the luminous scorpions glowing the dark.
We're hoping that everyone will come to experience the museums 'In a
Different Light' at this unique FREE event!
Pitt Rivers Museum and the Museum of Natural History on Parks Road.
8-11pm, entrance free, but if the museums reach capacity numbers
will be restricted.
