Head of e-Strategy and Development

Joining one of the country's leading academic libraries as Head of e-Strategy and Development, you will be a member of our senior management team, bringing creative thinking to the shared development of our strategy and values in support of the University's goals.
You will provide forward-thinking leadership and clear managerial direction of the operational units and special projects within the role's remit. Working across teams to a significant degree, within the Library and the University, and also with partners from other organisations, you will lead the development of a Library e-strategy which harnesses global developments in digital knowledge and information management and embeds these throughout the Library, ensuring its integration with wider University Information Technology and Systems strategies.
A graduate, preferably with a relevant postgraduate qualification, you will have substantial managerial experience in an academic/research environment, including budget management. Able to collaborate and negotiate at a senior level, you will also have proven success in leading and motivating staff through progressive management practices. Your strategic and creative thinking, coupled with a commitment to high-quality service provision, will enable you to apply digital library, electronic information and virtual environment developments to the support of HE learning, teaching and research.
Grade: University of Leeds 9 (£40,335 - £46,758).
