Hi,
the default is being set in featlib.tcl, which is being called from
within feat.tcl (line 86), i.e. if you added the line before line 86
then this setting will be overwritten b the feat5:setupdefaults call.
In cases where the output directory can't be created (i.e. the input
files are on a file system where the user has no write permission)
then you will need to change the occurrences of ${HOME} in feat.tcl
to something else
