VSNi are seeking a bright and ambitious individual to fulfil the new
role of Technical Business Developer Manager.
VSNi is a young and exciting company that develops data analysis,
statistics and visualization software. It was formed in 2000 as a
spin-off from the Numerical Algorithms Group Limited and Rothamsted
Research (an institute of the BBSRC) and is part-owned also by its
staff. Our core product GenStat is the only general-purpose statistics
system to be developed in Europe. GenStat originally began at
Rothamsted in the late 1960s, and has a thriving international user base
across more than 90 countries.
Closely working with both our software developers, commercial colleagues
and reporting to our CEO, you will be responsible for the following core
activities:
1. Formulation and delivery of specific sector product feature
presentations, supporting documentation and demonstrations.
2. Market and technology research including competitor analysis and
research trends.
3. Assist and contribute, via feedback, to new product development.
4. Relationship building with key customers and target
organisations. Understanding their data needs and assist in their
problem solving.
5. Assist with marketing, advertising and promotion planning
including trade shows and sector specific conferences.
6. Business planning; mathematical and statistical modelling of
business indicators and commercial activities.
This is an exciting new role within VSNi which will enable the
successful candidate to truly stamp their mark within our growing
organisation. It is not often to find such a position advertised within

are seeking an exceptional person. Your skills and our expectations
will include:
1. Graduate or graduate calibre self starter.
2. Background in either statistics or applied statistical
techniques within biological or life science research.
3. Excellent presentation skills.
4. Software applications skills including MS Office, data analysis
packages such as GenStat.
5. Approval to work freely within UK & EU.
6. The post will be based at our offices in Hemel Hempstead UK.
