HMP Dovegate Therapeutic Community is a purpose built unit containing five
individual Democratic Communities, Accredited by the CSAP. As Therapy Manager
of one of the Communities you will be responsible for the Therapeutic
integrity and routine management of a community of 40 residents.
You will either be a Trainee Forensic Psychologist approaching chartership or
newly chartered, or a Psychotherapist/Counselor with a Post Graduate
qualification in group work and experience or knowledge of the principles of
Democratic Therapeutic Community’s and/or work in a forensic setting.
Personal qualities will include high levels of motivation and the ability to
reflect upon your own practice and that of colleagues.
As well as having a primary focus on the health and development of your own
community you will be expected to take an active role in the future
development of the whole TC as a part of the Senior Management Team.
