I was taking the time to learn a few new functions of SPM5. During this
process I took the time to test Ged's theory (see his email below). I
tested the Contrasts Fix in Matlab 7.04 and the fix that Ged lists does
work in SPM5 for fMRI data.
Kind Regards,
Theresa Pape

Hi Theresa,
I'm guessing this would have solved your Matlab 7.0.4 problems as
well... I've updated the Wiki again, suggesting this as a possible
fix. If you do get the chance to test it out, maybe you could reply to
your own post so that the mailing-list archive will be more helpful to
others in the future? And/or update the wiki to clarify that it is a
working solution.
Don't worry if you no longer have access to Matlab 7.0.4, I know it
can be quite a hassle juggling different versions.
Best,
Ged.

Hi Antonia,
this bug is not specific to EEG, but people have found the same for the
fMRI/PET modality, when they use matlab 7.0.4
Here is some fix from Darren Gitelman, found in the archives. Type
feature('JavaFigures',0)
before starting spm.

Hi Dan/Jack/Nicholas
Edit boxes in R14 have had a number of problems.
This link identifies a problem in one m-file when tabbing out of an
edit box.

I've also seen problems in WinXP on multi-line edit boxes. TMW
suggested disabling the JavaFigures
feature.

I don't know if it will help you, but is probably worth trying.
