Aim
This full day session will give you the opportunity to have some hands on practice in handling enquiries
Content
Using a mix of group and individual activities, you will
* Discuss examples of good and bad practice in enquiry work
* Explore the enquiry process from question to answer
* Get suggestions for the time management of the enquiry process
* Investigate some useful free online information resources
* See how to help the customer to help themselves
Tutors
Amanda Quick and Alison Gordon are both academic librarians at the University of Abertay Dundee, and support staff and students across all the subject areas taught at the University.
Target participants
Frontline library staff who have a little experience of enquiry work, but would like to develop their skills in this area.
