Morning,
I just wanted to remind everyone about the PGwT bursaries for the psyPAG
conference this summer. The deadline is May 15th so get applying (see
http://www.psychology.heacademy.ac.uk/html/postgrads_who_teach.asp). PGwT
will be running two sessions at this PsyPAG conference - the first is a
careers session, in which we will have a panel of people who completed
psychology postgraduate qualifications and are now in a number of jobs
inside and outside academia. The second session will explore the role and
challenges faced by PG who teach. Below is some information about the
conference.
Cheers and good luck,
Debbie

Dear List,
The Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group (PsyPAG) would like to invite you
to attend our 22nd Annual Conference 2007, hosted by London South Bank
University (LSBU) on 18th - 20th July 2007.
Our annual event has provided a supportive environment for psychology
postgraduates to present their work in paper and poster formats for over 20
years. Hosted by LSBU and situated within walking distance of many major
rail links (see http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/about/maps.shtml for details), this
year will be no exception and we would like to encourage submissions from
psychology postgraduates at all levels of study to present their research
and ideas, in either paper or poster format, to a friendly audience of
fellow postgraduates.
The full cost for attendance is just £60 for the full three days, and this
includes lunch and refreshments each day, a wine reception on the first day
and a conference meal on the second day. Discounts are available for
Masters level students, and reduced rates apply for partial attendance and
those not wishing to go for the meal.
We are able to arrange accommodation in the nearby halls of residence,
McClaren House, for a cost of £25 pppn.
In addition to our usual parallel sessions, this year we are pleased to
announce that we are also hosting several themed symposia where students
will have the opportunity to present their research in specified areas.
Time in these sessions will be set aside for a discussion of how each
presenter’s research relates to a particular topic in the field. In many
of these sessions, we have also invited experienced researches in each
field to contribute to the discussions.
Please refer to our conference website,
http://www.psypag.co.uk/conference.html, for further details on
registration, accommodation and abstract submission. We also have several
bursaries available for attendance at the conference, details of which are
available on our website. More information is being added all the time, so
please keep checking!
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries
([log in to unmask]).
PsyPAG look forward to seeing you there!
