BMJ Group announce the launch of BMJ Health Intelligence
This month sees the launch of a new service for anyone involved in public
health research, education, practice and commissioning.
BMJ Health Intelligence is an authoritative source of public health
information, bringing together the latest evidence, data, local projects,
policies, targets and guidelines into a single, web-based resource. BMJ
Health Intelligence is a powerful research tool, providing the evidence and
data that is needed to help develop new and more effective interventions
for public health. It also has enormous value as a training resource.
Key public health topics such as alcohol misuse, obesity, smoking
cessation, teenage pregnancy and cardiovascular diseases are covered.
Information for effective commissioning is also provided for topics such as
diabetes, mental health, respiratory disorders, cancer and learning
difficulties.
As well as providing an evaluation of the evidence within the context of
each topic covered, BMJ Health Intelligence also provides key data
indicators and a graphical mapping tool for comparative analysis. Examples
of local projects and return on investment tables for some topics are also
provided.
BMJ Health Intelligence is now available at: healthintelligence.bmj.com.
