Dear Lynne,
I have passed your query on to Mundeep Gill from Brunel University.
Mundeep is the Learning Area Co-ordinator for Numeracy, Maths and
Statistics from the LearnHigher CETL and I am sure she will be able to
talk to you about maths software.
In the meantime you might want to click on the link below which takes
you to the Maths resources page on the LearnHigher website. You can
also use the search function on the LearnHigher site to search for
resources from the subject centres and elsewhere in the sector.
Best wishes

Hi All
As a relatively new member of the University College Falmouth, I am in
a
new role -providing numeracy and scientific writing support.
So far, I have been working in 1:1 and small group settings for
numeracy
but come September, I will need to provide some numeracy workshops
using
Powerpoint.
1. I haven't used maths software before and have been trying out Word
Maths Equation Version 3, but find it very slow and laborious.
2. Also the combination of using Maths Equation and inserting Greek
symbols, etc seems impossible.
3. I need to use trigonometry eg triangles, labelling of angles, etc
and
don't know where to start.
Does anyone have any tips for me, please or any alternative packages?
Or know of a separate email group I can ask?
Thanks
Lynne
