Protective Fellowships Scheme Manager
The University of York’s new Centre for Applied Human Rights requires an
experienced full-time Manager for three years to set up and manage the
initial stages of a Protective Fellowships scheme for Human Rights Defenders
which will be at the core of the Centre’s activities. You will be expected
to liaise with international and UK organisations in order to identify and
recruit potential Fellows, advise on visas and immigration matters, and
ensure that Fellows are given support while they are in the UK and after
their return home. You will also contribute to the learning programmes for
fellows and the intellectual life of the Centre.
With a human rights background you will also possess excellent project
management skills, and be a good networker. You will be able to work both
independently and as part of a team within and outside the academic
environment.
The post is fixed-term for three years.
The salary will be within in the range £31,840 - £39,160 p.a.
