Grade 4 Research – salary range from £27,003 – £31,739 pa
(depending on qualifications and experience)
The Research and Teaching Officer will support all aspects of the
research work (funding opportunities, administration of grants, RAE
preparations, etc.), teaching innovation and quality enhancement of the
Department.
You should have;
* a post-graduate qualification in Geography or a cognate discipline
(or be about to be awarded one, preferably a PhD)
* experience of undertaking and managing grant-funded research
* experience of departmental administration within a leading University
* a thorough knowledge and understanding of, and empathy with,
research work, funding and teaching in a research intensive
department
* a thorough knowledge and grounding in ICT and web-management
skills relevant to the electronic management of teaching and
learning and e- and distance-learning and the management of
dynamic data bases.
The appointment will be permanent, subject to satisfactory completion of
probation.
