RECORDS MANAGER
£32,176 - £41,289 pa
St Pancras, London
We believe that every new idea could change the world, every small
business become a global brand, every first novel a bestseller. Each year,
the British Library helps millions of people research every aspect of the
world’s knowledge, through our website, reading rooms, information
services and exhibition galleries.
Leading and developing an organisation-wide records management programme,
you will oversee implementation of existing policies and procedures and
contribute to the development of a future strategy that takes into account
the increasing reliance of British Library staff on electronic information.
As an experienced Records Manager, you will manage the internal
information that is critical to our success and, as you improve our
systems, you will have the chance to develop and promote innovative
practice in this rapidly changing field. But this role is not just about
systems. You will be recognised as the Library’s expert on records
management, and respected as a skilled manager and motivator of other
people.
You will have substantial post-graduate (or equivalent) experience of
developing and implementing organisational records management polices,
highly developed communication skills and excellent managerial and IT
skills.
