BIOMETRICIAN/ APPLIED STATISTICIAN
As part of continued investment in this RAE 5-rated area, we seek a highly motivated and interactive statistician or highly numerate biologist who is enthusiastic about applying modern quantitative techniques to a range of biological problems in collaboration with researchers from the School of Biological Sciences.
You will have expertise in either bioinformatics, modelling of spatial data, fitting hierarchical models or fitting population models using Bayesian techniques. Experience of collaborative work with biologists is essential, as is proficiency in the R-language. You will have a postgraduate qualification in statistics or a related subject or experience with a high statistical content, preferably with applications in a biological subject.

A three-year appointment is available in first instance.
The salary will be paid in the range of £26,915 - £32,137 per annum.
