Ah, got you! A couple of people on here - Ieuan? - probably know Tom Hope (he was teaching in Japan) and how to get hold of him. I've no idea what happened to Amy when she finished her research and have not heard of the other dissertation. Sorry I can't be much more help.

thank you for your answer. Unfortunately the British Library charges ten pounds per dissertation which I simply cannot afford.... Best wishes, Maria
