The NZSA Annual Conference for 2007 will be held on Wednesday 4 July
2007 at the Mathematics and Computer Science Building on the Ilam
Campus of the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The conference is of wide interest to all statisticians with
presentations covering any area of statistics. The NZSA2007
conference is followed by a 2 day meeting in honour of Professor John
Deely, former Chair of Statistics, and Emeritus Professor of the
University of Canterbury. This promises to be a well-attended and
lively event, with many of John's students, colleagues and friends
from around the world expressing a strong desire to join in honoring
a much-loved member of the international statistical community.
Abstract submission is now open for both conferences, and student
presentations are especially welcome. There will be prizes for the
best student presentations, sponsored by Hoare Research Software.
