Too bad, but in my experience this is not an absolute prerequisite to
getting children into the scanner. Here, for example, we have used a
life-sized funny doll that is in the scanner when the children enter the
room which does a lot to alleviate the tension.

I know that the group around Scott Holland at Cincinnati Children's has
a video they are using to de-sensitize the children prior to scanning.
It works especially well as it show the actual scanner the children will
go into themselves (and because it shows that a little girl can do it
which does a lot to motivate the little boys ;) I suggest you contact
him on this, he may be willing to share it (see cc).
