Hello all!
There was a nice selection of science podcasts on the winter issue of the
magazine Science in School, you can find it here:

Hi guys,
I'm interested in finding out more about science podcasts that are being
run around the world - who is doing them, how they promote them etc etc
I have noticed a few people advertising them on this list.
I'm involved in a few. My own one is The Mr Science Show
(www.mrscienceshow.com <http://www.mrscienceshow.com> ) - this is weekly
for about 10 mins talking about socially relevant science, and hopefully
its entertaining and different. There is also the Diffusion Science
Radio Show (www.diffusionradio.com <http://www.diffusionradio.com/> )
which is run out of 2SER in Sydney. Its a high quality 30 min weekly
podcast that gets more than 10000 downloads a month, as well as being
heard in Sydney and across Australia - and funnily enough is syndicated
in Alaska on the radio off the podcast! So its got plenty of listeners.
A friend and myself have also started up a new one - The Beer Drinking
Scientists (http://bds.podbean.com <http://bds.podbean.com/> ) in which
we discuss important science topics the way they should be discussed,
over a beer. We also interview people in the pub. These will come out
every 4-6 weeks and are about 30 mins in length. (We probably had a few
too many beers in our pilot episodes, which are on the web for those
that want to look....)
So tune in! We all need the subscribers! OK, enough shameless plugging!
I'd love to know who out there is doing them and how you approach it.
I'm also heading to the UK in May for 7 months and am keen to freelance
whilst over there, so if anyone is interested in a science writer, or
broadcaster etc, please feel free to get in touch as I would love to
hear from you.
Cheers,
Marc
