Until we discover or are informed otherwise, the ICT department here in
Plymouth have agreed to not roll-out version 8. However, despite
warning notices on the portal we haven't been able to stop individuals
doing it themselves!

Subject: Secure Electronic Delivery
Dear all,
I just wondered how other university libraries are coping with the
problems with Secure Electronic Delivery and Adobe 8? Our IT department
is rolling out a new image to university pcs over the summer which will
include Adobe 8 and the draft version of Digital Editions. As there are
still problems with printing from Digital Editions this may mean that we
will have to suspend offering Secure Electronic Delivery as a service.
As we've heard from the BL, and found out from experimenting here,
sometimes it is possible to print out articles, but sometimes it isn't!
There don't seem to be any rules governing this.
I would be grateful for any news on what other ILL departments are doing
to manage this.
Many thanks!
Leanne
