FREE AFTERNOON VISIT

Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart Campus Library
Napier University recently carried out a flagship redevelopment of its
Craiglockhart Campus. The library of the University Business School is at the
centre of this, providing a range of environments facilitating a variety of
learning styles. This visit offers ELG members the chance to see contemporary
library design and curriculum support in action.
Visit programme:
1.00 pm Welcome & coffee, Room 2/04, Craiglockhart Campus Library
1.20 pm Tour of library, PC labs, Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre
(Barbara Breaks, Malcolm Jones)
Discussion of faculty structure and student population, including international students; strategic priorities and how the library is responding; teaching and learning approaches; successes and challenges for the library; space use issues, catalogue including syndectics, NUINLink.
2.30 pm Coffee / tea in Room 2/04.
Demonstration of IN:FORM (Laurence Patterson)
3.30 pm Tour of War Poets Exhibition, and talk (Catherine Walker).
