I tend to agree with Larry. Some years ago we had a similar project at my
university, and found that the most disadvantaged ("dis-abled) students were
mature students in the law department and female students in engineering!
Assuming that there are two distinct categories of people - 'disabled' and
'non-disabled' - is question-begging. In your situation I'd have just one
questionnaire, allowing people to report if they consider themselves
disadvantaged, and the reasons whay they do or don't. You could incorporate
questions about "awareness" into this framework relatively easily.
