Dear All
I am looking to put together a conservation order for boxes, folders,
envelopes and archive tape for our specialist repository. Due to
budgeting I will probably only be able to have one stab at the pot of
money and so am looking to obtain adequate supplies for the year. The
8 1/2 months I have been here have not been average for accession and
cataloguing with lots of accession which were waiting for my arrival
having come in but none of our regular deposits having arrived. We hold
the records of the Labour Party, the Communist Party of Great Britain ,
left wing groups, societies and figures.
I was hoping some other small to medium sized specialist repositories
could give me a rough idea of the amount of preservation material they
use on average, and the amount of boxes over 12 months?
I know the answer is probably 'how long is a piece of string' but a
guide would be most helpful.
Cheers Jo
