About the authors:
"Mary Rundle is a fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at
Harvard Law
School and a non-resident fellow at the Center for Internet and Society at
Stanford Law
School. Chris Conley holds a master's degree in computer science from M.I.T.
and is currently
a J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School, where he focuses on the intersection
of law and
technology. This paper has been produced under Geneva Net Dialogue, a
Geneva-based,
open, international association whose mission is "to lend its support to the
operation
of human rights in the information society by improving ties between the
technology
community, the policymaking community, and civil society at the
international level."
Having a look at it reminds me of the book "Future Shocks" by Alvin Toffler
that came out about 30 years ago. Except then this sort of thing was purely
the concern of futurologists who wrote interesting books about it.
