The mission of the Statistical Advisory Service of Imperial College is
to enhance the quality of research within the college by providing
excellent statistical advice to research staff and students throughout
the college.
We are now seeking a new consultant to work with the Director and three
existing statistical consultants. This new post represents an expansion
of the Service to support the new Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre.
The centre has recently been awarded a 5-year grant.
Applicants should have a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification
in statistics, and practical experience in medical statistics and
clinical trials, in addition to communication and problem-solving
skills. The post holder will specialize in medical statistics, mainly
providing support to Phase I/II Clinical trials in the Experimental
Cancer Medicine Centre. Familiarity with the design, management,
regulatory requirements and statistical analysis of data in clinical
trials is highly desirable.
The appointment will be for 2 years in the first instance, renewable
annually for a further 3 years subject to funding approval.
