it all depends upon what is in the archives. many museums here in the
US have reproductions produced from items that they own. here are some

If the archives has a large number of images they could consider
working with a publisher to produce a line of calendars, postal
cards, magnets, books, and other items that are image friendly.
The NYTimes sells copies of photographs from their archives.
An archives must first determine is their a market for their items,
then how to reproduce and market them. What you need is a business
