Library Web Administrator
ALC Grade 1: 20,852 - 23,187
Applications are invited from graduates with relevant qualifications and
experience for this newly created post. The Library Web Administrator will
play a key role in customising and enhancing the Library’s Web catalogue
(WebPAC) and its integration with the Library website and other web-based
resources. The person appointed will work with colleagues to maintain the
Library and Archives Service website, and assist in the running and
development of the library's Millennium system. There may also be
opportunities to participate in projects to develop customer focussed or
web-based services such as RSS Feed, Single Sign-On and E-Commerce.
Candidates should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in computer
science or information technology, or a degree in another discipline
together with substantial and relevant experience. They should also have
demonstrable experience and knowledge of some or all of the following: CSS,
Javascript, CGI, Perl, XML.
