This one day conference is aimed at further education library and
information. As electronic content and sources of information, provided by
academic libraries, become greater and vaster, the need for federated
searching technologies has increased. This seminar will introduce delegates
to the concepts of federated searching (also known as meta-searching) of
library content, and will illustrate some of the current developments and
initiatives within this field.

By train: Southport College is five minutes walk from Southport Station
By car: A570 from Junction 3 M58 or A565 from Junction 7 M57
Car parking: Visitor parking is not available on the college site.
Visitors may park on the NCP car park at Southport Station (five minutes
walk away) at a special rate of £2.10. Parking must be paid for at the
college reception where the NCP ticket will be validated.
