2nd CALL FOR PAPERS:
2nd Hybrid Artificial Intelligence Systems Workshop (HAISī07.- CAEPIA`07)
12th - 13th November, 2007. - HAIS 07 Workshop Salamanca, Spain
http://www2.ubu.es/hais2007/

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROCEEDINGS:
Springer Verlag in the prestigious Advances in Soft Computing Series.

SPECIAL ISSUE:
International Journal: Neurocomputing. Elsevier Science, Netherlands.
Topic: "Hybrid Artificial Intelligent Systems and its
Applications"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Under the frame of: The Conference of the Spanish Association for
Artificial Intelligence (CAEPIA)

The 12th Conference will be held in Salamanca, Spain, from the 12th to
the 16th November, 2007. It is organized by the Intelligent Information
Systems Group (http://bisite.usal.es) of the University of Salamanca.

*** Hybrid Artificial Intelligence Systems Session (HAISī07) combines
symbolic and sub-symbolic techniques to construct more robust and
reliable problem solving models. Hybrid intelligent systems are becoming
popular due to their capabilities in handling many real world complex
problems, involving imprecision, uncertainty and vagueness,
high-dimensionality. They provide us with the opportunity to use both,
our knowledge and row data to solve problems in a more interesting and
promising way.

This multidisciplinary research field is in continuous expansion in the
artificial intelligence research community and we believe that
CAEPIA-2007 is an excellent forum to run this event.

HAISī07 provides an interesting opportunity to present and discuss the
latest theoretical advances and real-world applications in this
multidisciplinary research field.

*** TOPICS ***
Topics are encouraged, but not limited to, the combination of at least
two of the following areas in the field of Hybrid Intelligent Systems:

   * Fusion of soft computing and hard computing
   * Evolutionary Computation
   * Visualization Techniques
   * Ensemble Techniques
   * Data mining and decision support systems
   * Intelligent agent-based systems (complex systems), cognitive and
     Reactive distributed AI systems
   * Internet modelling
   * Human interface
   * Case base reasoning
   * Chance discovery

robotics, image and speech signal processing, food industry, biology and
medicine, business and management, knowledge management, artificial
societies, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, geographic information systems,
materials and environment engineering and so on.

*** PAPER SUBMISSION ***
All submissions will be refereed by at least three experts in the field
based on originality, significance, quality and clarity. Every submitted
paper to HAIS 07 will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program
Committee. Accepted papers will be included in HAIS 2007 Proceedings to
be published by Springer Verlag in the prestigious Advances in Soft
Computing Series.
