I very nearly asked the same question last night, but hoped Alan might
respond first, as he now has.
Tom what exactly is your point ?
If you believe "getting to the point" is something we should strive
for, then you have sorely missed the point - the very point of Alan's
words in fact ... there are no "points" standing in isolation ....
if we (and poets like Alan) don't play with your "approved" language,
we will never find the new wisdom entangled within it. We are doomed
to see only facts and old knowledge.
