The University of Dublin, Trinity College's School of Computer Science &
Statistics (SCSS) is pleased to host the 12th Annual Conference of the
European Learning Styles Information Network. The Conference is an
international forum for the exchange of knowledge relating to theory,
research and practice in the field of styles and strategies of learning and
thinking.
Call for Papers
The major theme of the Conference is Exploring Style: Enhancing the capacity
to learn? Elsin2007 welcomes submissions that focus on key issues such as:
• Developing the cognitive/learning styles agenda - where to now?
• Implementation of cognitive/learning styles - evaluation of approaches to
include models and modes of practice.
• Enhancing workplace learning through understanding of cognitive/learning
styles.
• Culture and styles research.
• Enhancing continuous professional development through styles research, IT
and digital andragogy.
• Individual differences; style research; cognitive neuroscience and memory
capacity
• Cognitive style, personalities and teamwork.
• Style Research: the forgotten ingredient in subject learning at
Post-Primary level.
This is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Papers can be empirical or
theoretical/conceptual. The key criteria for ELSIN 2007 are that submissions
should be conceptually, theoretically and methodologically sound, and also
that they have something interesting, relevant and original to say about
styles and strategies of learning and thinking. These are the criteria upon
which submissions will be assessed.
