Please find below our latest position for a Statistician with a large
Pharmaceutical client. Clinical experience is not a pre-requisite for
this role.
Description
Join an established team of statisticians, working within the Cancer
Research Area. You will be working as part of a group supporting a range
of drug projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work with
statisticians and scientists to participate in and enhance the drug
discovery process.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Provide statistical support, primarily to Cancer drug projects in the
phase approaching or in early phases of clinical development.
Work with Discovery scientists and statisticians to better understand
project needs and to assist decision making through the appropriate
application of statistical thinking and data visualisation and analysis,
including high dimensional data analysis.
Communicate effectively across a range of disciplines - including team
working, one-to-one work, presentations and discussions.
Contribute to the development of best practice in design, visualisation,
analysis and interpretation of data, through networking with other
statisticians and scientists working in this area.
Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant areas of statistical science.
Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience
MSc in statistics or equivalent experience.
Strong technical skills and the desire to develop these further.
Ability to communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians both
verbally and in writing.
Approachable and enjoys interacting with people from a range of
disciplines.
Ability to maintain focus on customer delivery whilst maintaining
competing priorities.
Experience in applying statistical methodology within industry or a
scientific / bioscience environment
An interest in cancer research would be an advantage.
Any essential technical training will be available to the appointed
candidate.
