Southampton Trace Elements Unit once had a case of this which was analysed by ICP-MS - perhaps they might be able to help (Valerie Walker 02380-796419), or you could try one of the other Trace Elements labs - eg Guildford, Kings, London (New Cross) etc.
Hope this helps,
Roy.

Our breast surgeons have removed an implant which has burst and provided
us with some fluid collected at operation and want to know whether or
not it contains silicone. Does anyone offer an assay or have any ideas
how we can go about it?
