Hi Stephen,
how many DICOM files do you want to import at a time? If there are lots
(say > 1000) of DICOM files, then you may run into memory/swapping
problems, since the import routine has to read all DICOM headers in memory
before it can decide which DICOM files belong to which 3D dataset. If you
know the ordering of your DICOM files, it is a good idea to run multiple
import jobs, one for each series/3D volume.
I've written a batch config file which does this for you, but it will
break compatibility with the original batch file (i.e. you would not be
able to reload DICOM import batch jobs saved with the original version).
Therefore I hesitate to post it on this list.
