Having recently seen the engine at Geever, with the absence of makers
notes or details it would be very difficult to say were it was made.
However my first impression when I saw it was that it looked like a
small Worsley Mesnes duplex engine - one point that has not been
mentioned is that it has extended piston rods (through the ends of the
cylinders), which I thought was a little unusual for an engine with such
small cylinders.
There is always the (highly likely) possibility that it was made in
Cornwall at one of the many foundries that once existed there, possibly
utilising parts from a number of makers.
Although it was brought 2nd or 3rd hand to Geever, it might be possible
to back-track through the records of previous mines/owners.
Cheers
