After I posted my post, I began wondering how a consecration of a bishop
fits into the scheme of all things "ex opere operato." Does the consecration
of a bishop fall under the rubric of Holy Orders? And what of things done by
an anti-pope before he is deposed as such? Murky stuff, this...
