The Library & Information History Group will be hosting a public lecture
at the Library Restaurant, 1A Guildhall Hill, Norwich at 3pm on Wednesday
21st March 2007. Dr Clive Wilkins-Jones, Librarian of the Norfolk Heritage
Centre will speak on 'The Old World and the New: Norwich Subscription
Library and the Provincial Establishment'. The Library Restaurant recently
opened in the building formerly occupied by the Norwich Subscription
Library, and provides the perfect venue to hear about the history of this
important local resource. All are welcome. Entry = £2 (refreshments
included), payable at the door.
For local LIHG members, and all others interested in the work of the
Group, the LIHG committee will be holding its spring committee meeting at
10.30am on Wednesday 21st March, at Norwich Cathedral Library. Observers
are welcome, but please contact the Hon. Secretary ([log in to unmask]) if
you would like to attend.
