Dear Colleague
Netskills will be running the following workshops at the West of Scotland Science Park, Glasgow:
1. e-Learning Design & Development, 20th – 21st March
-----------------------------------------------------
An innovative 2-day practical training course that will allow you to develop your own e-Learning solutions with support from our e-Learning specialists. The course fee also includes registration on the Netskills/BTEC Award in e-Learning - a professional qualification providing recognition for your new skills.
2. Blogs, Wikis & Social Networking, 27th March
-----------------------------------------------------
As the world wide web moves into another exciting phase, sometimes called Web 2.0, it has never been easier to publish and access information online. Blogs and wikis offer simple, DIY, interactive publishing, while new social software tools enable collaboration online, whether sharing cutting edge research, CVs or holiday snaps. But is this just the latest craze or does it have the potential to revolutionise online information?
3. Information Skills & Staff Development, 28th March (this workshop is available at the reduced rate of only £45 to attendees from UK Higher and Further Education or Adult and Community Learning)
-----------------------------------------------------
From getting the most out of Google to managing information overload - effective information skills ('i-Skills') are essential for anyone working in today's Information Age. Information skills are often neglected in staff development, but they can lead to improved sharing of information, reduced duplication of effort and time-saving. This workshop will provide the opportunity to consider how you and your institution currently address i-Skills staff development, and develop strategies for improvement.
