> You will be working on projects from a range of sources, both internally and externally covering any aspect of healthcare with primary care significance and beyond. You will work as part of a project team for individual projects with a responsibility to provide and manipulate data for subsequent processing and detailed statistical analysis and your role will be critical to the success of the project. You will also have the opportunity to assist in the future development of the database, database tools and GPRD services, where excellent programming and design skills will be crucial.

> Degree educated in IT or computer science, you should enjoy data manipulation and management and have a proven background of developing effective large-scale data applications. You should be well versed in SQL, Stata or SAS for data retrieval and management. In addition you will have knowledge of a structured programming language, such as Visual Basic, and be able to demonstrate advanced analytical thinking and a good team-orientated approach.

> The recruitment salary range for this role is £26,256 to £28,002. The starting salary will usually be the range minimum; candidates demonstrating skills and experience above those stated in the essential criteria may be offered a higher salary within the stated range.
