Well, I'm not positive with SPM5, but in SPM2 if you did that, it did
complain, but if you continued and estimated the model it worked anyway.
The complaint was more of a warning than an actual error. I'd suggest
trying to estimate the model in SPM5 anyway, unless someone else chimes
in to say that it doesn't work this way.
