Research Officer - Digital Preservation
£25,055 - £28,575 per annum
Fixed-term appointment for two years
The National Archives is at the heart of information policy and is the
UK government's official archive, containing 900 years of history
from Domesday Book to the present day.
The Digital Preservation Department in The National Archives is
seeking to recruit a Research Officer, to contribute to a number of
major national and international research projects to develop cutting
edge techniques for preserving electronic records.
You will need a high general level of IT literacy and an enthusiasm to
learn and participate in new and innovative research. You will need
to devise and undertake independent research with a practical focus,
and to present complex results clearly to internal and external
audiences. You will also need to be a good team player. The post will
require regular travel within the UK and Europe.
