I cannot resist this very OT reply.
As a seven year old, I came to England in 1953, landing at Heathrow from New
York. We took a taxi to Euston Station for our next stage. On the way we
went past Buckingham Palace, and that was where I saw my first Royal Mail van.
For several years thereafter I assumed that Royal Mail vans carried the
Queen's post.
