Hello,
Here is a summary of the advice I received on CV writing for my
portfolio.
The CV you send in with your portfolio is not one that you would ever
send for a job. It should be in detail explaining your job,
responsibilities and opportunities etc. It should cover the main
achievements in each post and any contributions to professional
literature. You can highlight things that you can't fit in anywhere
else because of the word count (1000 word evaluative statement). This
is your best opportunity for conveying the skills and experience you
haven't selected for your main portfolio.
As it isn't tailored to a particular position you're applying for you
can format it in any way you feel appropriate. It can also include
details of all the courses and conferences you may have attended.
It can be longer and more descriptive than you would normally submit.
Four to five pages was the general consensus.
The Chartership web pages on the CILIP web site provide a link to CV
advice from INFOmatch that I have found very helpful:

Thank you to everyone who replied. I apologise for the lateness of this
summary.
